Taste and Decency brings into dialogue pioneering Pop artists Jann Haworth and Idelle Weber with a younger generation of artists, including Rachel Maclean, Rosie Gibbens, and Olivia Sterling, exploring how consumption, sexuality, identity, and social behaviour are staged and circulated from the 1960s to today.
Through painting, sculpture, moving image, and installation, the exhibition examines how ideas of taste, desirability, and decorum are shaped by advertising, mass media, and contemporary image culture. Using humour, satire, exaggeration, and material play, the artists expose the performances and contradictions embedded within everyday life, revealing how visibility and social expectation continue to shape behaviour across generations.
