Fluxus Frequency Collective: Elnara Nasirli
Past exhibition
Overview
Gazelli Art House Baku is pleased to announce upcoming solo exhibition by Elnara Nasirli, co-curated by Huseyn Jalil.
As an artist working with striking contextual components and constantly experimenting with various media, Nasirli is celebrated for exploring unconventional triggers in the perceptual experience. Inspired by the Fluxus movement of the 1960s, Nasirli presents the Fluxus Frequency Collective, bringing an immersive exhibition that combines sound, visuals, and interactive elements to create a multi-sensory reality. As Nasirli examines the concept of frequencies, both in the context of sound waves and the broader human experience, the artist reflects on the meaning of the Latin word Fluxus and emphasises the artistic process over the finished product. By repeatedly highlighting the perspectives of individual sensing in her art, Nasirli guides the viewer through a variety of performances, discrete frequencies that complement artworks, and video mapping. The exhibition uses an interactive language of audience engagement and generates a dialogue reflecting on art diversity and aspects of social involvement.
