Off To See The Wizard (1967) features the iconic subject of Weber's works from the 1960s, dark-suited businessmen. Here a group walk down the street in a dynamic composition in delicate tempera paint on paper. The energy and camaraderie are clearly conveyed, but with the witty title Weber also suggests absurdity and uncertainty beneath the sharp masculine image. Weber's striking graphic style captured the essence of an era of excitement and volatile change in Western culture, and clearly influenced the title sequence of the hit TV series Mad Men.
