DOMINIC MYATT

Dominic Myatt (b. 1993, Leicester) is a London-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores the transformation of familiar imagery and the shifting boundaries between reality and imagination. Rooted in drawing, his work spans painting, photography and sculpture, often reworking found imagery through processes of translation, repetition and reinterpretation.
Inspired by the visual fragments of everyday life, the energy of the city and overlooked details within our surroundings, Dominic’s work explores how images accumulate meaning and evolve through memory, culture and personal experience. His practice moves fluidly between the recognisable and the surreal, figuration and abstraction, inviting new ways of seeing the familiar.
Myatt graduated from Goldsmiths BA in 2014, The Royal Drawing School in 2019 and is currently completing postgraduate studies at The Royal Academy Schools. Solo exhibitions include Shot and Bothered, Neven Gallery, London (2024) and Don’t Kiss by the Garden Gate, Love is Blind but the Neighbours Ain’t, Kupfer Project Space, London (2024).
