Ruba Salameh (b.1985) is a Palestinian visual artist working across painting, video, and installation. She holds a B.A. and M.F.A. in Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Salameh’s work explores themes of land, displacement, nationalism, and dystopia, often using cynicism and irony. She has lectured on art history and classical painting at the Arab College in Haifa and conducts workshops at Bezalel Academy. Salameh’s work has been featured in notable exhibitions such as Beyond home, A feminist Deconstruction at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Berlin (2023), Here & Now: Connections at Museum Lichtenberg in Stadthaus, Berlin (2021), Trespassing at The Museum for Islamic Art, Jerusalem (2020), Limitless at The Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem (2019), and the SRINAGAR Biennale in Basel (2018).
