Buro | Derek Boshier

Derek Boshier's latest Gazelli Art House show Night and Snow features as part of BURO magazine's '6 Frieze heroes' - a roundup of their Frieze fair favourites.

"Derek Boshier is a key figure in the pop art of the country, he was friends and was inspired by David Bowie, who, in turn, collected his works, as well as by The Clash , and has always been close to the mass culture of Britain and America.

For the exhibition at the Gazelli Art House, he created two series of works "Fragments: Contemporary Still Life" and "The Night and Snow", which occupied both floors of the gallery. In them, the artist explores how the images that attack us today from all sides interact with each other, and uses new mediums, in particular, embroidery."
