Prix de la photo Madame Figaro : honneur aux femmes

 

Madame Figaro decided in partnership with the Rencontres d’Arles, creating a prize of photography. Why a prize? Why in Arles? Explanations.

 

We wanted to accompany Sam Stourdzé, its new director, who breathes new life in this unique event in the world, created 46 years ago by Lucien Clergue. But also because the creation and picture part of genes of Madame Figaro. For 35 years, the greatest photographers have worked with our magazine and not only in our fashion pages. The Price Madame Figaro – Rencontres awarded annually to a female photographer whose work is exhibited at the Rencontres.

 

The only criteria: excellence, creativity, originality of vision. The photographer who has been distinguished conduct a series in Madame Figaro, which will allow their work to reach a vast audience. The winner will also receive a grant of € 5,000 with the support of Women in Motion Kering will allow it to offer some of his prints at the Rencontres d’Arles. They will complement the collection started by Lucien Clergue.
