Gazelli Art House is proud to announce the latest acquisition of Alinka Echeverria’s The Road to Tepeyac #67, 2010 artwork by LACMA, California.
It captures devout pilgrims carrying their personal image of the Virgin of Guadalupe during the annual pilgrimage to Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City, the site of her miraculous apparition.* This photographic sequence which launched Echeverría’s career, deconstructs the philosophical, psychological and anthropological relationship between an invisible presence and its materialized expression.
