Join us for an artist talk celebrating Sleeping Rivers, Vanishing Seas, featuring artist Michael Takeo Magruder in conversation with Paul Luckraft, Head of Programme at Gazelli Art House.
Sleeping Rivers, Vanishing Seas explores Azerbaijan’s culturally significant and environmentally fragile landscapes through the lens of climate change, digital imaging, and emerging technologies.
The discussion coincides with Magruder's exhibition in the Project Space at Gazelli Art House (29 June - 1 August) which marks a key stage in the development of a new body of work. Visitors will have the opportunity to view work-in-progress studies alongside related recent projects that utilise digital photography and bespoke Al techniques.
Sleeping Rivers, Vanishing Seas is a collaboration between the artist, YARAT Contemporary Art Space, and Gazelli Art House. It is supported by the British Council’s Connections Through Culture programme, Azerbaijan.
