Gazelli Art House is delighted to announce Kalliopi Lemos’ permanent art installation at Attis Theatre in Athens, Greece in celebration of the auditorium’s 30 year anniversary.
Featuring permanent installations by Yiannis Kounelis and Joseph Beuys, Lemos’ work is the latest addition to an interesting dialogue between these artists.
The unveiling of the work will take place on Friday 15th December 2017, followed by Theodoros Terzopoulos’ acclaimed theatrical play, Encore. At the core of the trilogy, initiated with Alarme and continued with Amor, lies the same theme: conflict as the mythical origin of creation and time. The dense power, released by the meeting of two bodies on stage, and the sadistic consumption of one by the other, annihilates both figures.
