Artnet features Jann Haworth as artists to look out for in 2022.
Hollywood-born artist Jann Haworth is long overdue for a popular rediscovery. Haworth, who is 80, defined herself as one of the leading women artists of the Pop art movement, particularly in the U.K., where she relocated to study at the Courtauld Institute. Most famously she was the co-creator of The Beatles’s Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band cover, and was also notably one of the first artists to work in soft sculpture. Museums have been looking more closely at her body of work recently.
