draw-something is my love letter to Harold Cohen’s AARON project. It is written in the Lisp programming language favoured by Cold War artificial intelligence researchers (as was the later AARON) but greatly simplified and intended to embody a more personal aesthetic. Its compositions are as deliberately as simple as possible, functioning both as drafting and sketching.

They are drawn using an algorithm that I created by watching my own use of drawing tools. And they are coloured using an algorithm that is not a million miles away from that used by AARON at one point. The results function as images without necessarily fully mimicking any existing human aesthetics.
