"The earlier one used a rectangular monitor (only they were available then) with a frame built round it to mask it and make it square. The later one uses a square monitor from Samsung. I have a few, but they don’t make them anymore. Both run from MacMini commuters. Normally I hang the monitor on a false wall and take leads through to the computers behind it. Alternatively I use a white track to take leads to the floor, where the computer in enclosed in a box,. They are in the concrete tradition in the sense that I see the physical screen as part of the work. They are not just files that can be shown on any monitor. Anyway, there are cameras and they are interactive, which is key. I can take movies if you like, but not for a few days. These are important works,, employing interaction." - from Ernest Edmonds
