Among the pioneering California-based Light and Space artists, Peter Alexander has spent the course of his career focusing intensely on light and its manifold effects in his sculptures, paintings, drawings, and prints.
During his career, Alexander worked with many materials such as resin, producing subtle, luminous, pastel-hued sculptures that seemed to be crafted from light itself.
Renowned for his paintings, sculptures and installations concerning the properties of light and colour, Alexander continues this exploration in an ongoing series of cast urethane wall-sculptures and freestanding works. Using this medium, he produces a subtle luminosity of palpable atmospheres within 2D and 3D forms.
