I came across this abandoned desk going back down the hill near her studio and realised that "it was significant with its slanting lid. The lid was hung at a distorted angle due to the way the hinge was broken. It was open but in an eccentric way and only on one side. I thought it was perfect for expressing how 'open' can mean multiple things. Even a desk can potentially be opened in different ways and anything could come out!"
