Primo Lavoro, Stagecoach Tucson is the mail work from the project. it represents the largest military aircrafts cemetery of the western world and it so recalls and rewinds some totemic moments of the history of the 20th century. There lay airplane parts that helped free Europe from nazi-fascism or others which where involved in the gulf wars. In a sense this techno-cemetery in Nevada tells a lot about the reshaping of our history. Stagecoach is one of the best western movies of John Ford and one of the finest films ever. As all Ford’s movies they talk about “how the west was won and where it got us” and that’s why I chose that title and why I have hidden the title of the film (among others) in the converted metallic blue sand of Nevada desert.
