This limited edition artist zine is published by GROUND Zine Fest 2019, and edited by Natalia Isaeva and Sofia Lebedeva. It features Markus Martinovitch’s works from 2019 as well as a text written on his behalf by Maria Kryuchkova. Each edition also contains a unique photo made by the artist.
Echolalia – is the automatic repetition of vocalizations made by another person. It is one of the echophenomena displaying imitative behaviour without explicit awareness of doing so. Echolalia is one of the most salient aspects of communication disorders in autism and as such the artist surrounds himself with numerous repetitions, as the repetition makes him feel more protected than unexpected indeterminism. This text serves to portray this sentiment through words.
