Gazelli Art House Performance | Robert Fraser’s Groovy Arts Club Band

On 29th October 2019 from 6pm – 8:30pm, join us for a very special performance of songs from Howling Beatnik Punk Duo (David G. A. Stephenson & Mike Gosling) at Gazelli Art House.

The performance will mark the launch of Robert Fraser’s Groovy Arts Club Band, a new group exhibition at Gazelli Art House celebrating the work of esteemed gallerist Robert Fraser (a.k.a. Groovy Bob).

This exciting show brings together thirteen artists who Fraser championed during his time along with other members of the pop art movement: Clive Barker, Peter Blake, Derek Boshier, Brian Clarke, Jim Dine, Jean Dubuffet, Richard Hamilton, Keith Haring, Jann Haworth, Bridget Riley, Ed Ruscha and Colin Self.

Alongside the exhibition, a launch of a vinyl containing fourteen songs all in tribute to Fraser, is debuted. The exhibition title takes inspiration from Harriet Vyner’s oral history of Fraser entitled Groovy Bob, one of the key influencers and trendsetters in the 1960’s when pop culture, music and art collided.
