On July 1st we had the pleasure of hosting a digital event to mark the launch of Jane McAdam Freud’s exhibition We Are They : Where id was ego shall be. In this online Private View McAdam Freud introduced the new series of works on paper that build on her long-standing concern with conceptual binaries, exploring the notions of what is conscious / unconscious, ego / id, masculine / feminine, nature / culture. Jane McAdam Freud is an internationally acclaimed sculptor and multi-disciplinary artist – drawings, prints, digital media – with a career extending over twenty years.Her study of Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis has resulted in a number of collaborations with psychoanalytic societies and centres around the world. Along with many other international institutions, McAdam Freud has delivered papers and exhibited in Taipei, South Korea, Toronto, Istanbul, Lugano, Lyon, New York and Beverly Hills.
