On July 22nd 2020, we had the pleasure of speaking with the collective BRiGHTBLACK as part of our Gazelli Connect Live series.
BRiGHTBLACK is the company of artists Simon Wilkinson and Myra Appannah. They began collaborating in 2018 after independently creating two of the UK’s largest ever virtual reality based shows: SOMNAI and Whilst The Rest Were Sleeping.
Together they create immersive artworks and playable culture using video game and immersive technologies. Their work has been displayed at Tate Modern and has successfully toured to over 30 nations on six continents.
