"The work is part and expression of a complex and articulated project that the artist has been developing for several years, by which tends to outline the geopolitical atlas of a world in perpetual transformation, highlighting the critical points. The work of Jodice tells the communities and their places through an essential language and an analytical look, but always open to further reading." Here are the reasons for the jury by Laura Cherubini, Christian Marinotti and Cristiana Perrella, who chose the diptych What We Want, Tulum Pueblo, M05AB, 2006 by Francesco Jodice – presented by Michela Rizzo Gallery in Venice – for the eighth edition of the award Rotary Club Milano Brera for Contemporary Art and Young Artists.
