Overview

Coinciding with SIGGRAPH in Vancouver (10–14 August) and the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, this special summer exhibition by pioneering computer artist Ernest Edmonds explores the power of live networked presence through two generative installations. The show is curated in collaboration with Francesca Franco.

Quantum Tango is Edmonds’ latest interactive networked artwork, connecting audiences across three cities — London, Vancouver, and Padua — through a dynamic triptych of light, movement, and quantum logic. Shown alongside it is a newly reconstructed version of Communications Game, Edmonds’ seminal networked project, begun in 1969 before the advent of the Internet, and updated here using 21st-century technology.Presented at Gazelli Art House, Networked reflects Edmonds’ lifelong commitment to experimentation across art, technology, and systems thinking.
