‘I understand that process of psychoanalysis and making art are both hard work and share structural similarities; you have to be a good reader to progress with both and it takes a certain honesty, a certain idiosyncrasy.’
‘The interests in my work remain the same - gender, hysteria, playing, flora, the uncanny and the domestic, psychoanalysis, feminism, art history…I’m aware that Freudianism is a mythology, something of a cult, and I am definitely a Freudian.’
