Inspired by Picasso's Le Taureau these were the artist's first professional prints, where she addresses the development stages of an image. Created with the use of a single lithographic stone, crayon and tusche, the colour is only added to the last two prints, with the fifth being inverted and printed twice. Editions of these works are currently held in collections of Yale University Art Gallery, Whitney Museum of American Art and Museum of Modern Art.
